Albourgh Tyres appoints new Sales Manager for Latin America
Armando is Portuguese, but at the end of this year he will emigrate to Brazil with his family. He started in the tyre business in 2007 and worked for reputable companies like Goodyear, Bridgestone, Tiresur and Prinx Chengshan Tire. For these companies he covered different (sales-) management positions with focus on countries such as Portugal, Spain and Brazil. Armando’s expertise is on the TBR- and OTR tyre segment, which perfectly aligns with Albourgh as supplier of ‘Professional Tyres’.
Albourgh Tyres is part of Heuver Group and within Europe distributed by Heuver Tyres. “Both Albourgh and Heuver are a reference in the European market and always several steps ahead in the industry. Therefore I have always been following their activities”, says Armando. “Once I knew that there was a plan to expand the business with Albourgh to Latin America, I thought that could be a perfect match and fit to what I was looking for. Basically, because I love challenges, as well because my goal was to embrace a project where my knowledge, international experience and cultural awareness could add value to this next step of the company.”
Both for Albourgh as for Armando the introduction of Albourgh Tyres on the Latin American market will be a new journey and the start of a new era. Armando’s objective is to develop the market and provide it with the right solutions from Albourgh, accompanied with Heuver’s high service-level. At the same time, Albourgh aims to demonstrate its ability to compete with other tyre brands through its high quality and wide product range. This is entirely in line with its pay-off ‘Surpassing expectations’. Armando is very motivated and excited to start working on this project and as he says himself: “Great things are coming and the best is yet to come!”
